New version of CFIA directive D-14-02
On April 29, 2026, the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) published a revised version of directive D-14-02: Hardwood Export Program.
This directive has recently been renamed and revised to reflect changes in terminology to support the integration of the Hardwood Export Program into our digital platform (6th revision), The 7th revision was to add Norway to the countries to which this directive applies. The 8th revision was to add chestnut and oak to the wood species that must meet the requirement of this directive for exports to the European Union (EU). This version is to remove the heat treatment option for ash lumber to Türkiye.
