Workshop:
Climate Smart Woodlot Management

We are holding a series of one-day workshops around the province.

Climate change is a reality from which we cannot escape. We have thus two options: watch a movie and munch popcorn without worrying about the future - “après moi, le déluge” (lit. 'after me, the flood')*, “my grandchildren will take care of it” - or act as soon as possible to ensure that those grandchildren inherit a healthy environment that can defend itself (do not worry, you will still be able to watch a movie and munch popcorn!).

Our forests are in the front line in this battle against climate change. While forest ecosystems act as carbon sponges and help us fight it, they are also highly sensitive to climate variations, which have an impact on their superpowers. It is therefore urgent to take measures to improve their resilience and help them adapt better.

So come along to this workshop on Climate Smart Woodlot Management to learn more about the forest ecosystem that surrounds you, the Wabanaki-Acadian forest, and discover tips on how to keep it in tip-top shape while getting a head start on the climate (spoiler: the rain will still be there!). Register now and become the superhero of your woodlot!

* It is a French expression that expresses indifference to whatever happens after one is gone.
